Sadelle’s: Right when we thought New York bagels couldn’t get better, this place serves them on towers. Yes, towers. But for being widely known for its bagels, they actually have a quite large and diverse menu–so don’t leave without trying the sticky buns and/or pigs in a blanket. (takes reservations)

Buvette: We go to Buvette when we feel like being transported to Paris. In fact, there actually is one in Paris so you know it’s going to be good. It’s super small and cozy so don’t expect much personal space, but we can guarantee their Croque Madame will be the best you’ve ever tried. (walk-ins only)

Egg Shop: Leave it to New York to have a restaurant entirely devoted to eggs– even for dinner. We love it in here not only because it seems like they offer a different egg dish for every mood, but because the bright sea foam green and white accents make us feel like it’s summer all year long. The Smile: NoHo hidden gem (literally hidden below the sidewalk on Bond St.) Dimly lit, low-key, exposed brick cafe with high quality traditional brunch items–think baked eggs, Belgian waffles, and smoked salmon on a black seed bagel. (walk-ins only)

Epistrophy Cafe: We were 100% drawn to this spot because of the one-of-a-kind decor but ended up being overly pleased with the Italian inspired food. Think vintage vibes with this amazingly chic green couch that you’ll have to go early to snag (it’s worth it). For brunch, they are known for their zucchini cakes but we loved their traditional pancakes as well. (takes reservations)

Root & Bone: Because no brunch bucket list is complete without some chicken & waffles, right? R&B is known for their cheddar waffles and “bucket of bird.” We may tend to come here when we’re in the mood for a nice southern style brunch, but almost always end up leaving with some trendy apartment inspo. Joseph Leonard: Another cozy place with antique-y vibes (I think we have a type) that has become our West Village brunch go-to. The avocado toast and croissant egg sandwich are simple dishes but always hit the spot, especially when accompanied by the sriracha shaved brussel sprouts or deep fried hash browns. (walk-ins only)
